The voice of the people in the Burao conference must be respected. I urge Mr. Abdulrahman Aw Ali, Mr. Adami end their unreasonable opposition now and endorse Mr. Siiraanyo and Abdulrahman Zaylici. It is time to put the country first. The up coming presidential elections is very important. We must remeber the people of this land are Hungary for change.
IntroductionGreat leaders led nations through difficult and untenable situations. We have seen all kinds of politicians from Saladin Al Ayuubi, Abraham, Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower, Franklin Roosevelt, Nelson Mandela, Jawahahirlaal Nehru, Ho Chi Minh, Mao Tse Dong, Kim Mil Sung and others who led nations at a time of political , economic meltdown, upheaval and conflict The difference between great politicians and bad ones reflects on how they act and save their nations from calamities, wars and other unpleasant events. Visionary leaders rise to the occasion, take charge and lead their nations out of difficult times. Bad leaders lead their nations into difficult times. Visionary leaders are selfless, honest people with great integrity who give so much to their nation, bad leaders are selfish people, who want their people to sacrifice for their lavish life styles. At this hard and trying times, the Rayaale administration appear to fit the later description. These days he is resorting to come with gimmick after gimmick to stay in power. I lost count of the many meaningless presidential degrees coming from the office of the current presidency. It ia just amazing to watch the on going transformation of an elected president to b
In the the same token the fierce urgency of today, the burning urgency of the current situation we are in, the Kulmiye party is the only way for change. Clearly Rayaale and company went to stay in power by any means necessary. They are manipulative, cynical, deceiving and using all the tools of political gimmickry, all the tricks from their magic trick. For a community, which has seen huge investment in terms of peace, collaboration, peaceful co-existence, we can’t afford to see the current Rayaale administration come back to power. Can this beloved community accept another day of Royal administration? I commend the good things they have done for this community, but it is inconceivable to see them back. Kulmiye must overcome the problems created by some of its old guard. It is becoming clearer that some of those guard made their ambition before the country. By creating the appearance of conflict just about six months before The election, they seem to care less whether or not Rayaale comes back to power or not. Anybody who jeopardizes the unity of the opposition is indirectly helping Rayaale and company.
Once for all, it is time to peacefully remove the old guard from power. Clearly their priority is not country first. For them everything revolves around a “me” first mentality. These “me” crowd must be removed from power. No matter what clan or tribe they belong to is not important. These kind of politicians, are the carbon copy or the genetic mutants if you will from the ill-equipped, ill-educated pseudo politicians of the yesteryear. They descended from a primordial stem cell called “me” first. If they feel cornered, they tribalize everything, quote ” I didn’t get that because of my tribe. This is a group with a lethal, dooms day mentality, If they did n’t get their way, the end of the world will come. How much longer we can tolerate this destructive coterie? Their genes have heavy dose of divisive, polarizing and destructive genes. From early on, their genes are predestined for divisiveness and conflict creation. Though not existing here in large numbers they are highly toxic, unpredictable and polarizing lot.They all invoke the clan card when in trouble. They all cry fowl and manipulate the clan when it serves their objective. We are still reeling from the hole their counter parts, or analogous pseudo-politicians put us in 1960. Several generations who followed that 60th generation are still struggling to fully emerge from the damage done to us by inexperienced and ill-equipped politicians.
I did not have all the information surrounding Kulmiye’s convention in Burao last week. I just get information that rift is primarily about the choice of Engineer Abdulrahman Zeili as Mr. Siiranya’s running mate. Despite an impressive progress towards a non tribal society. Still around are, some politicians and others who can use this divisive tool. The monster-tribalism is still alive and kicking. Clearly though small in number there is still existing divisive and polarizing clan-minded or clan manipulators who use this dying monster from the bottom of the deck. I have reports that most of the Kulmiye politicians who created the political schism were mostly radical left overs from the old school. Some of those leading this fake political schism have already have their luck and served very high posts in the government. What is happening is very unfortunate. I think the people of Somaliland are mature enough to be fooled again by unbending politicians who are on the verge of passing their political prime time. These old politicians have already trashed the respect the people of this country have bestowed on them. Apparently some of these politicians, who are in the last throes of their political life are waging a disgraceful campaign to ensure that no change will happen. The actions of these dinosaurs will help the current government which all people want to see them gone. The real beneficiary of any impasse is Mr. Rayaale and his regime.
Kulmiye party must unify its ranks and start campaigning for a real change to happen in Somaliland. Nowadays every thing is at a stand still, the Rayaale regime reached its peak. They have done many good things but the people of this land are currently desperate for change. I urge Mr. Abdulrahman Aw Ali to endorse Mr. Siiraanyo and Abdulrahman Zeili and move on. Let me tell Mr. Aw Ali, you are a war hero who fought very hard for the Independence of this country. But to preserve the respect many people bestowed on you, you need to be magnanimous and endorse the presidential candidate, Mr. Siiraanyo and his running engineer Zeil, who have won the votes of most of the Burao conference delegates. Mr. Aw Ali needs to respect the peoples’ voice. Let democracy ring and effects change in our land.The people of Somaliland are thirsty for change. Creating fictional conflict is unnecessary and counter productive.
It is rather disgraceful to see old politicians creating fake conflict. Majority of the Kulmiye delegates in the Burao conference have overwhelmingly chosen Mr. Siiraanyo and Abdulrahman Zeili. It is shameful to see those politicians to storm out of the conference hall when they saw the result of the vote. It is time for these politicians to apologize for the multiple times. They need to reverse their divisive move quickly.The old politicians must pass the baton to the younger generation. They need not to put their name through the mud by further dividing the people and acting more partisan. Some of these politic ans were aspiring for the highest and the second highest positions of the land multiple times. Seeing the finger prints of the same old faces over and over again in the political process and elections is ridiculous. The latest attempt by the old radical guard to deny the vice presidency to the younger engineer, Abulrahman Zeili is shameful, divisive and breaches the old Somaliland tradition of compromise. Kulmiye party needs to finally get rid of this old radicals from its ranks If it intends to become a viable national party. An entrenched few old focus should not hijack the political process, and deny the young generation to participate and eventually take over the political process. The current childish manever and displays are disingenuous at best and quite cynical at worst. I am not naming names but those I am talking about can fully understand what I am talking about. You need to take Mr. Ismail Mumin Are’s position and congratulate the winners, Mr. Ahmed Siiraanyo and Abulrahman Zeili.
